How it works
Every Steadyhand job produces 12 time-stamped documents — automatically, as the job moves forward. Here’s what goes into your vault.
Before work starts
During the job
After it is done
Why Steadyhand is different
Every job builds a shared record — agreed before work starts, documented through each milestone, held permanently when the job is done. Both parties sign the same document. Both parties own the same record.
The scope agreement is signed by both parties before work starts. Not a tradie's quote or a client's expectation — a single document that both signed, with inclusions, exclusions, assumptions and a milestone plan.
Work doesn't proceed to the next stage until the client approves the current one. Each milestone approval is a moment of agreement — not a tradie's claim, but a record both parties created.
The Dialogue Rating assesses how the job was handled across six dimensions — pricing transparency, risk communication, timeline clarity and more. It's assessed from scope to sign-off, not just from a review left afterwards.
Every document — scope, milestones, variations, sign-off, warranty certificate — is held permanently and accessible to both parties. There's no version the tradie holds and a version the client holds. It's the same record.
Steadyhand earns only when work is completed and approved. The platform has no reason to push jobs through — only to document them well. Our interests are the same as yours: good work, properly finished.
The warranty certificate records what was built, under what terms, and by whom. It's the final document in a chain that started with a signed scope — and it holds because of everything that came before it.
From homeowners and trade businesses who have used Steadyhand
“The scope agreement meant there were no surprises. I knew exactly what was included and what would happen at each milestone. I felt in control for the first time hiring a tradie.”Emma T. · Homeowner, Subiaco
“Steadyhand developed sensitive ways of creating processes across worksites, office and client comms, but were also great at recognising and supporting my intuitions as an owner-operator. I recommend Steadyhand wholeheartedly.”C Creevey · Margaret River & Busselton Regutters
